Custom Work

Yes our custom shop is available for any kind of custom orders. The MakupArtist studios are world renowned for our work with production houses and movie sets. We have constant inquires from our customers about doing custom work and wanted to give all of you a little info as to what is involved in making a custom piece. When we do a custom mask as an example we must first start with the making of an original sculpture. It is possible for us to do this sculpture from photos. This sculpture can take an artist as much as one to two months to complete rush order are possible. Latex has a shrinkage average of fifteen percent so when you work to create a latex piece you must work in scale to make it at least this much larger.

When the sculpture is complotted the next step is to take the sculpture and coat it with silicone to create a latex mold and the first mask is ready to be made. Once a foam latex mask is created the last step is to design and apply a makeup and finish and your mask or appliance is finally complete.

As you can see this all is not a simply process taking a good deal of staff time. Do not be surprised if this will cost well over a thousand US dollars to do and could take as much as three months to produce for you depending on our volume or work load at the time.
